As far as typewriters go, I’m finding that really anything from the 60’s forward are pretty sturdy, regardless of the maker. I am focusing my collection on travel typewriters because they take up less room and only weigh 10-15 lbs! If you’re feeling fancy, looks for a Hermès brand one: baby or rocket. Super cute, and will last forever...but because of their cult following, they can get pricey!
