In I <3 Postcards International #3 I send a card overseas and got one from somebody in the US who is pretty low rated and did not put a lot efford in writing the card. (I guess, she just joins all easy swaps to bring her rating up..) There is a reason for low ratings and I was wondering, why you set the rating requirement so low?! I am disappointed about that (mostly about the not international card..) and afraid it will happen again, if I join...?!

@BerlinGeorgia NO one can dictate who you receive from!! It seems like I'm always sending to people in the USA!! It's weird but it's just how it goes!! Theres no way to change it!! I hope you get something nice this time!!

Why are you complaining when you barely have any swaps under your belt!! I've never complained about anything I have receieved. If it is senders choice then you get whatever they send you and you don't rate them bad as long as it meets swap requirements!! If you don't like that then DON'T join!! You are suppose to be GREATFUL for what you get!! I don't know how your profile is (going to read it now) but maybe you should look at others Profiles. Not saying mine!! So either be greatful or just don't join the swap!!

No one can control who sends to who or who receives from who!! It seems like I'm always sending to people in the USA and never over seas!! It's just random!!! Swap-bot does all of that NOT the coordinators!!

I thought the host chooses the swap-partners..that's why I asked, if that could happen again.. And my question was, why you let in low rated ppl. I am not complaining, I am just asking! And yes, I AM new and especially since I am new I don't wanna be disappointed. You can see, who my partner was and you can read this persons profile with 25 Threes and 15 Ones!!! There is a reason! (What has the profile to do with what we are talking about?)

@BerlinGeorgia I think @hartline22 meant YOUR profile. I'm new too but I can already see a big difference between profiles that have tons of ideas and suggestions on (and make you really excited to make something for them) or profiles that have only a few ideas on.

People get (temporarily) banned when they get three or more ones, so there's no question of someone like that being allowed in.

Swap bot randomly assigns the partners, I have no control over it as has been stated.

I set the requirement low because I also manually look over profiles and judge a little from there. I think that just passing judgement on a number is a little generic. There are sometimes are reasons someone has a lower rating, RL stepped in, ect if there mistakes were sometime ago and they have had good swappecting for somtime, why should i hold a mistake against them forever? Maybe I am an optimist, but there is why I set it as I do but know I do go over each and every entry as well. I am sorry you didn't like your intial swap, but there is not a requirement on what has to be written on the cards and it is also senders choice.

No worries BerlinGeorgia I am glad you joined #6. I wasjust explaining where I come from on why I hold the ratings as I do. I have met a few with lower ratings who had some very legit reasons for it owned up to it and tried to make better. I am a beliver in second chances :o)
