No tape or laminating, use permanent adhesive to "write" your note and address the envelope. Send your postcard in an envelope with standard postage.

Read your partners profile, make it fun for them and do not send anything that they will find offensive. No halloween themes as many do not celebrate this.

Even if you're not "crafty" this should be an easy swap for you!

Newbies with complete profiles are okay. No ratings allowed below 4.8 or with recent 1s or 3s.

Have Fun!

i do love this idea! is it ok if we like mod podge over out letters? that's the only way i could think to make them stick w/o covering with tape or something

Out of curiosity...how come no tape or laminating?

shellsajerseygirl 10/13/2011 #

@destiney Glue sticks work well for this.If you do not want to use tape.I also use a tape runner. Its a double sided type of tape runner. It works well for this sort of project :)

@Lindylulu By the way I love this swap idea of your. Sound like a fun swap to create. I cannot wait to read partners profile so I can get started. Thanks for hosting this swap :)

I would be afraid of this one. Please, please contact your local PD and see if they would find this a joke if your mail deliverer took it in to them.

Since these are being sent naked, someone may not realize this is a swap and there could be all sorts of trouble.

I love this idea, do not get me wrong, but it is not worth the hassle that could ensue if someone took it wrong.

Perhaps if you changed it to send in an envelop it would be much safer.

We live in a world where the police will arrest first ask later and many others would do the same. We live in a world where this is taken seriously, like not being allowed to say bomb in the airports.

Like I said, I love the idea, as a joke. But the world around us with so much kidnapping and terrorism may not take this as the joke you want it to be.

Please reconsider this swap at least to the point of sending in an envelop, or having someone set up a fake date using the cut out letters and photos.

Please do not flame me. I just care that no one get the heat from the 'heat'.

@fawnscrafts Good point. Our world has come a long way from normal. I am going to send my swap in an envie just to be safe. Sure hope my partner will understand. Cause I really do not want to drop from the swap. And I do not want a poor rating either.

@lindylulu What are your thoughts about me sticking with this swap and putting my PC in an envie?

Postage in USA is 29-cents for postcards between 3.5" x 5" minimum up to 4.25" x 6" maximum. That would be "standard". The post office also offers a special price of 44-cents for postcards measuring larger than maximum up to 11.5" x 6.12". :)

Sorry for the postage mistake. I am revising the swap to be sent in an envelope. Feel free to use "cut-outs" for the name/address, I don't think we can get into trouble there. The size and adhesive requirements will remain the same. Tape runners or other glue-type permanent adhesive is great. I've used Mod Podge before, it can stick to other things and ruin your work. I suggest dusting with talc powder afterward if you're planning to use it. I like Glossy Accents (a Ranger product) myself. If you have never tried Crackle Accents (Ranger also) I highly recommend it...you will love it! I was in a similar swap a while back for a scrapbook page...it was a blast, so let's have some fun with this! Sorry for the delay in responding, I was out of town all day.

Fantastic idea!! I actually laughed out loud as I read it, it was that cool :D

If only it wasn't USA-only! Are you thinking of having an international version?

fawnscrafts 10/16/2011 #

Thank you for changing it, I feel like a weight had been taken off my shoulders.

I love this idea and I want to join. Woo hoo! Hey can I make it a really funny one, Like I want a ransom for me?
