Recycled Holiday Cards

Isn't it nice to get holiday cards from friends, family, neighbors... your dentist? Okay, maybe not the last one, but in general, it's nice. All the same though, I am always at a loss for what to do with these cards once the holidays are over. Never fear though, Swap-bot is here!!

For this swap, you will take your old holiday cards and turn them into something new. You could chop them up into squares and "mosaic" a picture. You could make a tiny box out of them. You could cut them into stars, paint them, and make a cute mobile. The only limit to what you do with them is your imagination. Go wild!

I'm not one for making lots of rules but I want to make sure people get something cool for this swap, so here are three basic guidelines:

1, you need to incorporate pieces from at least four different cards into whatever you make. (In other words, don't just slap a stamp on the back of a single card and say, "Look, a postcard!")

2, you should spend at least an hour making your project (you'll have three weeks to work on it once partners have been assigned)

3, please don't send anything that you wouldn't be happy to receive yourself.

Otherwise than that, have fun and enjoy making a treasure out of what would otherwise end up in the trash heap! xoxo
