Description:

I'm back and I am bringing back this series I started in 2010.

1 partner swap

Long sign up time (so we can hit the holiday sales) but short send time, make sure you can send by the send date before signing up.

Send $10.00 worth of scrapbooking or cardmaking supplies. Supplies should be new or vintage. This means if you want to mix new products with vintage ephemera you may, previously this series of swaps focused on new supplies only, but I know that vintage is big right now so I thought people might enjoy getting some cool stuff.

ONLY SEND WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO RECEVE: Vintage does not mean old junk. Examples of good vintage finds: vintage children's book pages, sheet music, old letters (1940 - 60), dictionary pages, lace (at least 24 inches), buttons (at least 10 to count as one item, and not your whole package), etc...

Ratings: Rating should be based on meeting swap requirements. ($10.00 worth of nice, new or vintage scrapbooking supplies) Everyone has different tastes, do not rate based on how much you like the style of items received, but whether or not they actually mean the requirements. This is NOT a profile based swap.

Eligibility:

  • No 1's or 3's in the past 6 months, all others must be well explained (I will evealuate on a case by case basis before assigning partners)

  • Must have a rating of 4.95 or higher

  • No recent no sends

  • No Newbies (sorry) (must have minimum 10 Type 3 swaps completed and rated 5)

I angel every swap I host, that said: please do not sign up if you do not intend to send.

Angel rules: Must have waited the full 2 weeks after the send date Must have contacted your partner and gotten no response or an unsatisfactory response. Must have rated your partner a 1 for no send. Contact me after the above conditions have been met and I will happily send you a lovely package to make up for the one you got flaked on. Please include in your PM the name of the swap you would like an angel package for and the name of your flaker so I can post their name in the flakers group.

PS: I check all profiles before I assign partners, usually the day before the swap closes.

Just a quick note to clarify since I have had a few PM's:

Everything should be in the orignal packaging or the original state it was bought in. So ribbon, should be on a roll or if you bought it from a store that cuts it for you, include the receipt so your partner knows how much you spent for it. 6 x 6 papers should be in the original paper pad, not loose sheets.

Basically, whatever you send should be brand new, not used or part of something else. It is not really a destash swap, its more of a give your partner something new to play with swap.

You also have the option of sending some Vintage things, you should include your receipt for your vintage things if it is not obvious how much they are worth. (I always send vintage book pages in my packages to paper crafters, but usually as extras, its so hard to tell how much something like that is worth)

I started these swaps because I see all kinds of products in people's swaps and pages that I don't have access to here because I shop at an independent scrapbook store so I get products that are available through Notions Marketing. They are really great, but they don't carry all the brands that other people can get (like American Crafts for example... but I can get things from Bo Bunny and K & Company, its weird). I assume that it's the same for people elsewhere and it's an opportunity to get something for someone they may not be able to get otherwise.

I do host destash swaps from time to time, be on the lookout there will be some in late January!

Is it a big deal if I do not have my receipt? It was not part of the description above. I bought some items the same day I signed up for the swap. I don't keep receipts for things I know I'm not going to return. I don't do vintage so my items are all new in packages.

kiwivandal 12/15/2011 #

no @j3ss1ca you do not have to have the receipt at all, in fact I don't ever keep my receipts, most of the products I am sending still have the tags on and some I didn't buy specifically for this swap even. I have many very nice brand new (in the package) items that would be perfect for this swap (like acrylic stamps I have never used, sticker sets and other fun embellies). the response above was for anyone who has never done these kinds of swaps before and I had a few PM's and an email asking about how to tell if you got $10.00 worth of stuff. Especially for those sending vintage. It is not required, if for any reason you think it would be hard for your partner to decipher the amount of money you spent you are welcome to prove that amount with a receipt.
