$1.76 Postage = $1.76 Kindness (USA) #3

On January 22, the USA postage rates are rising. As the first two swaps were well received, let’s get one last round in before the rates go up.

Being on a tight budget these days, I've got to curb my swapping a bit. However, since I like coming home to a "happy" mailbox, I had to get creative and figure out ways to still do that. What I came up with is this: for the price of just $1.76, it's possible to send 4 envelopes of "happy mail" to 4 swap partners. For the cost of just 44 cents per envelope, we can easily brighten the days of 4 people with a cheerful letter, and still have room for including a flat surprise (a recipe, a bookmark, a note card, a postcard, stickers, etc.).

And, for no additional $, we can add some pizzazz to the outside of our envelopes (handmade out of decorative paper, draw/paint/color on a plain one, add some rubber stamped images, use fancy colorful lettering, etc.).

If this sounds like fun to you, come on out & play. While this swap is sender's choice, I do encourage everyone to look at their partners' profiles for ideas on what kinds of surprises to include that might make their partners smile.

Fine details:

• 4 partners
• One letter or note card written to each partner with more than just a sentence or two (please tell a little bit about you and what kinds of swaps you like to join and/or what your hobbies are). If you're crafty, feel free to make your own cards & envelopes; otherwise, store-bought is fine.
• Add a flat surprise
• Don’t forget to decorate your envelopes!
• Have fun sending & receiving happy mail :-)
• Newbies are welcome with a well-filled out profile; everyone else must have a 4.95 minimum rating, with no 1s or 3s in the last 3 months without a good explanation.
• I would appreciate it if no one flakes. It’s no fun to send mail and not receive anything back.
