Description:

For this Halloween Spooktacular Group swap, you will create 1 very scary button fairy for one partner. Fun and simple to make, you will create a scary or cutesy Halloween button fairy for your partner. Participants please leave a comment below as to whether you prefer "scary" or "cutesy".

Fairies should be at LEAST 6 inches long, have a face or face/body and wings. If you need a bit more direction, here's a very simple step-by-step tutorial:

http://craftymule.blogspot.com/2009/04/how-to-make-button-fairy-doll-great.html

(I can't figure out how to do hyperlink, so if someone knows, can you post it in messages below?)

Button fairy requirements:

  • Halloween themed (scary or cutesy depending on partner's note)

  • At LEAST 6" long--longer is fine.

  • Some type of hanger (ribbon, strand of beads, etc.)

  • Glue, wires, etc. on the back MUST be covered (a simple strip of cardstock down the center works fine for this.

Since you can't begin work on your fairy 'til partners are assigned, I will assign partners early and allow a full month for completion of the project. That way early birds can clear their dashboards and everyone else has a whole month.

All are welcome and I will angel if necessary.

I would LOVE LOVE one that is macabre, very "death"ly or vintage--think a cemetery monument. :)

What a fun swap!! I would love the vintage-y 50's Halloween look! Hope that isn't too much info.....Smiles
