Cabinet of Curiosities- 250 Matchbox Found Item

I have a fascination with Cabinets of Curiosity, an idea which grew in popularity during the Victorian period. I am always on the hunt for old, wild and crazy items I might use in my cabinet. Sooo, I hope to do some object swapping with others looking for found items. The last round was a great and fun success. I think it would be fun to see what folks from around the world send so it's international! What do you send? Consider natural oddities. Because the Wunderkammer or cabinet of curiosity gave rise to natural history museums most items in these cabinets are natural, HOWEVER collections were notorious for oddities and cultural items as well. The Fuji mermaid was reputed to be part of such a collection. If you still are unsure please take the time to google such key terms as Cabinet of Curiosity or Wunderkammer for more ideas. This will be limited to 4.9’s and above. I will be checking for 1’s and will allow with good explanation. Here’s the requirements:

-You must collect at least 20 items small enough to fit in a large 250 count matchbox.

-Items must be Natural, Vintage, Old, Retro, Antique, Victorian, ect. or reproductions of, odd, unusual, Macabre ect.

-They must be nice and fairly clean (considering the vintage aspect), but do not have to be new.

-No junk...in the sense of trash! wink

-None of the same item, variety please.

-Decorate your 250 count matchbox 'cabinet' inside and out to follow theme.

-Keep in mind weight shipping internationally and please check with your partner concerning import laws and in some cases preferences. For instance some partners might not wish to receive animal bones while others might not be able to import organic items.

-Some ideas might include: Feathers, rocks, sea shells, beach glass, archaeological finds, crystals, preserved insects, tiny odd antiques, cabinet photos, skeleton keys, little oddities, fossils, seeds, little bones and teeth (clean please), odd bits of ephemera.

-Please be open minded about receiving as everyone's definition of curiosity is different HOWEVER Don't just send a bunch of found items or junk, please consider what the original definition of the term is.
