Christmas Card & Kit Swap

Christmas is coming...and Christmas card-making season is nearly upon us! Time to gear up and get some design ideas and creative juices flowing!

For this swap, we will each design 2 Christmas cards for our partner,send a completed card and also a kit for her to make the other (different design) Christmas card...

The cards should be 5.5 x 4.25 inches and you should include 2 envelopes.

The card kit should include a base card, 2 (or more) cut paper/cardstock pieces to go on top, stamped sentiment and/or image(s), and any embellishments to complete the card...so, for example, you might receive a green base card, a piece of cardstock 4 x 5.25 with a holly print for a card mat, then a die-cut piece of white paper with an image or Christmas/holiday greeting stamped on it. There might also be some brads and/or ribbon and/or jewels and/or a themed sticker included to dress the card up.

Feel free to add a liner if you are using a dark card base, and to put a sentiment on the inside if you wish.

The kit image may be stamped in a colored ink, or in a black ink such as Memento for your partner to color. You may also use direct-to-paper techniques to add color to your kit image before sending, if that fits your design plan. Embossing is fine, too.

If your card kit design is complicated, you can include a sketch of how you envision it being put together.
