The Great Profile Rewrite and Postcard Swap

I've been on swap-bot for awhile now and while looking through my profile recently I've discovered that it could really use a rewrite! I can't be the only one! In my case I have things listed that I no longer want to receive or things that aren't really swap-bot related and some other parts that just need to be edited! Figuring I'm not the only one in this position, I decided to host this swap. The Great Profile Rewrite and Postcard Swap!

This is a chance to get your profile rewritten, edited, perfected, and in tip-top shape. Before partners are assigned (on October 1st) you will go through your profile thoroughly. Get rid of things that you don't want there anymore, add new interests, organize lists, add some pictures, etc. Get your profile the way you want it and makes sure it reflects you and your interests now! Not too long, no too short. Be specific and have fun! It will be on your honor that your profile has actually been updated and edited, no one will check for a before or after. There are also no requirements of things you need to have on your profile. Just take this opportunity to look over it again and get it just the way you want. Get it updated and edited BEFORE partners are assigned. Again, this is on your honor. No one is double checking.

So what are partners for? Well, after everyone has had a chance to update their profiles, partners will be assigned. You will have 2 partners and you will read through those partner's profiles and send them each 1 profile-related postcard. If they say they like cats, send them a cat postcard. If they like touristy things, send them a postcard from where you are from. Get the idea? (Make sure your profiles aren't too specific or short that your partner will have an impossible time finding a postcard to send you!) All postcards should be store-bought. Send the postcard naked (stamp and mail, no envelopes.) Super simple! Two partners, one postcard each!

And that's all there is to it! Have your profile completely edited and perfected by October 1st. At that point partners will be assigned. Read through your partner's profiles and send them each 1 profile-related postcard. Have fun and get organized!

-4.90 ratings and up

-you are on your honor that you'll edit your profile, no one is checking

-you have to have joined swap-bot in Jan. 2012 or anytime before then (everyone that has joined since then should have an up-to-date profile)

-2 partners, 1 store-bought and profile-related postcard to each partner (please include the swap name and your name on it so they know who to rate!)
