Description:
Here's a compilation of different swaps I've been in lately. Send to: 2 partners. Beware, this is an international swap so you may need to ship outside your country. Items to send: 2 FQs, 1 spool of thread to match, 1 yard of trim/ribbon to match, small baggie of buttons to match (minimum 8) and 2 printed instructions for projects. This way, the person receiving might have an idea of what to use it all for, or can try one of the instructions/patterns you send. It can be as simple as finding the instructions online for a soft toy, or a pillow, apron, dishtowel. Copy the instructions out of a quilting book, mag, etc... It should be a simple and fun swap. And we'll have 2 projects we can work on during the winter months (well, winter for most of us.) Anyone with excessively negative feedback will be banned. Please send out on time.

Someone asked if it should be a new spool of thread. I think it probably should be just so everyone feels like they are getting new. Know what I mean?

Dec. 29/06: I have been given a 1 by one of my partners (who lives overseas) in this swap (the other in the US gave me a 5). Despite a note and my email address in my profile so that partners can contact me if they haven't received my packages, my rating average is quickly plunging. It is too bad that there are so many impatient people out there who won't wait for mail to get to them from Canada. I have never renegged on a swap (although others have done it to me several times already, so I now how it feels) but am now going to have to drop out of Swap-Bot because all of these recent one ratings will get me banned anyway. I will complete the swaps to which I have committeed and that will be it. I hope that all of the impatient people out there don't force this sad choice on too many others because swapping can be a lot of fun and a great creative outlet for those of us who love to craft and share. I also hope that this message might give pause to anyone who's too quick to give 1 ratings - not receiving your swap is not always a sign that your partner is a lowlife - try contacting them first, there might be a very valid reason why you haven't received your swap. If you get no response from them, then go ahead and give them a 1, but at least give them one chance to resolve the situation before spoiling their whole swap experience when they don't deserve it.
