Description:

International swap.

In honour of Earth Day (April 22nd in Canada), send a handmade or hand-decorated item to your partner. The item must be made of organic, recycled, reused, or other sustainable materials. For example, you might send a thrift store t-shirt that you've modified, a handmade notebook or hand-stamped stationary set made of tree-free paper, something knit of bamboo yarn, etc. Please send something you'd be pleased to receive.

Though the swap is for one handmade item, and no one should feel in the least bit obligated to send more than that, I know some people like to send extras. For this swap, if you choose to send anything extra, they should also be "green". For example, please don't send anything that your partner would readily be able to purchase; we want to avoid burning fuel to ship something the other person could get for themselves.

All participants must have a complete profile. Established swappers must have at least a 4.8 rating. If you have no ratings or if your only ratings are from email swaps, please email me at [email protected] so I know that your email address works and that you are a serious swapper who has read this whole description.

I reserve the right to ban any swapper for any reason.

Don't forget to rate your sender when you have received. Remember, since this is an international swap, mail may take weeks or even months to arrive.

Everyone, please be gracious in sending and receiving!

This sounds like fun...I am a lifelong crafter and would like to make something for my partner using leftovers from my yarn stash, things already in my crafting kit, etc...no special trip to the store, you know? This would be my take on green. Would that fit?

btw...is anyone else out there as sick of the Pantene ads as I am? If I see that woman with the long black hair one more time I am seriously going to hurl!..haha

I just saw a really cool little zippered pouch made from recycled materials and would like to make one from something I've been keeping around for some such purpose...I love this swap!

For my partner, I made a coptic-stitched journal out of elephant dung paper.
