Tea swap #4

I have question: in my country there are a lot of greta tea, but teabags aren't packet into separate bags :(. They are put just into the box. Is that OK if I make the teabags by myself? Do I have to send tea in separate teabags?

If I were one of your partners I would be happy to have the loose tea. I have several infusers.

It´s ok to send loose teas as well, as long as there´s 6 different flavours in your package :) Most of us have infusers and for example here in Finland there are so many great loose teas which can´t be found in teabags!

Hmmm... I wasn't thinking about loose teas. Sometimes teas are put to teabag and the teabags are packed into separate bags. If you have 25 teabags you have also 25 paper bags. And the paper bags are in the teabox. I was thinking about teabags without paper bags. Uff, my English is very, very poor. Sorry for that. BTW: are we talking about black tea? Is green and herbal tea OK for this swap?

Yes, you can send teabags without paperbags, but maybe it´s a good idea to wrap them into plastic bags, so they don´t get wet or break in the post :) And green and herbal teas are also fine :)

Tip :If you have to send a package to Europe please wright the 7 with an extra line in the middle . Offently postmen take the overseas 7 for a 1 !

Little question : If possible can you put real stamps on the packages ? Not those ugly white postoffice things :o))) I know many stamp collectors overhere and real stamps are very rarely this days .

I don´t make pairs, it´s this swap-bot service, which shuffles the participants and makes pairs :) So I can´t change pairs, sorry!

And I mean teabags, not packages or boxes :) Of course you can send them as well, but the minimum amount of tea is 6 teabags in this swap. Usually I´ve sent and received a bit more than that...But if someone sends 6 bags, that´s enough too :)

I thought maybe I should package the tea bags in plastic baggies so that the teas stay fresher and will not cross flavors or maybe that is not a problem I haven't sent teas in the mail before so if anyone has any previous experiance in this area please let us know..thanks,Deborah

That's a good idea, Deborah. Some of the teabags are in thin paper that's not totally sealed. I hope that my swap partners have time to post their tea preferences to guide me. I am hoping for some nice strong black teas myself!

I sent mine off today. Living in California, we have a variaty of teas available. This allowed me to place a few from different regions. California is not really know for tea, but I did find a couple from here (that are more regional). Hope they like the package!!

My boy-friend post the teas a couple off minutes ago. I'm a little bit ill and he was going away so he takes them with him. A few minutes ago he phones me that he post them.

To my partners, the postman sent all 3 of my envelopes back to me for additional postage. Apparently the post doesn't like oversized envelopes. I am re-sending tomorrow (as today is a holiday) to Ontario, Hawaii and Mass. Many apologies, we had been on vacation and just arrived home to my returned envelopes.

I sent out a massive amount of packages right before the holidays and it seems like none of my partners have gotten any of them. I dont know what happened with those, but I just got my first set of tea today. I will be resending to all of my partners in 3 different swaps and this seems like one of them. I'm sorry for the delay, but I am working with my post office on this matter and had to get this mess organized a little bit. I hope they get to you soon!!

Ugh. I want to leave ratings for the two that I have received but I forgot to keep the envelopes so I would know where they came from. I haven't gotten the third yet and don't know who shouldn't be rated yet. Hopefully the third will come soon and I won't have to worry about it. Ugh.

Fairykiss, I got your package yesterday and just left you a rating. Here's the funny thing... I got it the day after the swap date of another tea swap and I thought, "Gee, that was lightning fast!" It took me a while to figure out it was from this swap. LOL! :D
