I couldn't resist this one - Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen's "own darling child," turns 200 on Monday, January 28! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-21078941 Let's have some fun, fellow Jane-ites! One literary-themed art or craft offering, celebrating Jane Austen and/ or Pride in Prejudice in some way. Whether this means a zine devoted to Mr. Darcy, a short story featuring a favorite villain (and there are so many to choose from!), a needle-felted Elizabeth, a piece of Jane jewelry, a portrait of Pemberley, an Austen amigurimi or some other tribute, let's put some mental effort and heart into it, and judge each other as generously as we can, saving our pride, prejudice, and observations of humanity for our own novels :) Great ratings and a history of at least five Type 3 swaps apply -- thanks! And, as always I will angel my swaps but in this case you may be subjected to some pointed remarks by a certain Lady (possibly further insinuated by the most pious recipient of her patronage) if you flake.

Does everyone here know about The Lizzie Bennet Diaries on youtube? It's a full ongoing modern adaptation done in video blog form. Very worth watching.

No worries, soyprincesa2. I am sure that something can be worked out. And I hope to someday host a Persuasion swap -- my favorite Austen novel, as it involves an "old maid" and a passionate letter, and discussions of how too much Romantic poetry can be damaging :)
