Description:

Postcards are the best, but if they're anything like the "tourist only" ones that my state has to offer, then they're quite the bore(x

So my proposition is to make your own! :D not on plain index cards, but with some personal photography(:

You'll have one partner that you'll send to, to make your own photography postcard that will last through the mailing adventure! You can make a single print at your local walmart for $.30 or you can print at home as long as the paper is durable enough. (Not just plain letter paper! Something more sturdy)

So using the picture, on the back draw a line to seperate the address from the actual note. On the note side tell the story of the photo! Where you took it, or what makes it photography, what inspired you to take it. Anything! Just as long as it's photo related(:

Please don't just find a picture and claim it as your own. Actually MAKE it your own! Even autograph it on the back(:

NO FLAKERS! Newbies welcomed, people looking for a redemtion rating welcomed as well(: profiles not nessesary, but nice if your partner wants to take a picture specifically for you!

Any questions? Please do ask! I want this to be easy & fun! Happy Swapping friends!(:

Can we use a postcard blank or index card backing? I'm worried it won't make it all the way to the destination just as a photo!

Chrysiethumb 02/17/2013 #

@aliceinconverse yeah sure! That'd most definitely make it more stable for shipping(:

armadillogal 02/18/2013 #

so we're sending it stamped and written on?

Chrysiethumb 02/18/2013 #

@armadillogal yep! On the back of the print(:

can I use the one I had made at vistaprint of my cat? I had them made for national postcard week...

I am going to try and send as a photo only to see if it reaches my swapper that way. It should!

Chrysiethumb 02/19/2013 #

@armadillogal that'd be perfect!(: @ladydy5 that's what I'm curious! I don't see why it wouldn't though(:

Just in case any one is still curious, I've received a "postcard" that was only a photo. I've also received a very thin postcard before so you should be okay :)
