The Dollhouse: Matchbox Peek-A-Boo Paper Doll

Let's warm things up in our new little group with a tiny paper doll swap.

Make your partner ONE matchbox doll where the doll legs are made from matches and they peek-a-boo from inside the matchbox. Here are the specifics:

1. Alter a matchbox like the 32 count size that is 2” long. (handmade or store bought)
2. Put a paper doll of some kind on the outside of the box
3. Glue matchstick legs on the inside of the box. The box should be able to slide open & closed for the peek-a-boo part.
4. Add something extra to this tiny diorama– does the doll have an accessory? Maybe add a quote? Maybe you write a little story about the doll? Embellish! Get creative! Let's make this a tiny piece of art.

Senders choice! But it's always extra special to check profiles. There's 3 weeks between partner assignments & send date. Swap is international since a matchbox is tiny & light.

There are plenty of paper dolls on the web that you can shrink down for this project. I've started a forum thread in our group to help you with paper doll sources. Of course, making your own paper dolls is extra special! I have shrunken versions from that forum thread so let me know if you need help with your shrink ray and I'll email you something.

Profiles will be checked and questionable swappers will be weeded out, but I doubt that will be an issue in this great group. I can angel. Flakers will have Chuckie from “Child's Play” sent to their house for some playtime while the rest of us will assemble our dollies and watch. (oh no!)
