Description:

Don't be sad the snowman dies as spring awakens. For this swap create an art piece of your choice ATC, envie, twinchie, handmade card etc. to help lay the snowman to rest. I think a New Orleans jazz funeral but its up to your interpretation. Somewhere you must also include a second item, a representation of flowers to welcome the spring. This can be paper ones, stickers, confetti , packets of seeds think and be creative. Mailing will be in the second week of March and this is not profile based you can create right away. . I am hoping most are received very close to vernal (spring) equinox , March 20th.

Please have respectable ratings or if your new have a filled out profile It is okay to mail in a flat envelope if appropriate for your craft items.

This is so cool, I'll put on my thinking cap and see what I can come up with.

Thanks yomousey but I can't say the idea is original. Someone did this as a participatory art event in NYC several years ago complete with jazz band, beads, umbrellas snowman in a coffin being paraded up and down streets and flowers for all. It was awesome ;) I always want them to do it again and can't wait to see what is created.

Ironically we (NYC) supposedly have a winter storm on the way as I strive to put Mr Snowman to rest for the season. Everyone looks good so will assigned as soon as button is up.

Should I show the sad dead snowman, or can it just be implied by the title of the swap? I've already made the funeral without the actual snowman..

Maybe he was closed casket and just a corn cob pip and button eye rested atop the coffins- its up to you
