Description:

For this swap you will use DRY BRUSH technique to make a background and then add to it.
Equipment:
ATC blank- watercolour paper, old cardboard etc
3 different colours of acrylic paint
Old flat paint brush
Dry Leaf
Method:
1.Use lightest colour to paint the whole of the surface- let it DRY.
2. Put a little of one of the other colours on a DRY brush and then wipe a bit more off the brush.
3. Gently paint parts of the surface so that some of the background colour peeps through.
4. Take the leaf and paint it with the 3rd colour.
5. Then turn the leaf over and press it onto your ATC to make a print of the leaf. Repeat a couple of times to make an abstract design.

Picture at top left shows 2 that I have done. The top one shows the technique as described here. The bottom one shows how by adding a shadow and a gold highlight, you can get depth to your work. My partner gets both.
