Mourning Paraphanilia and Tradition Swap

I thought it would be really fun to explore the beautiful art involved with mourning.

For this swap, We will create or obtain a mourning-specific object. This can be from any culture, but what I want you to do is write a letter to your partner accompanying your item, explaining why and how the item is used for mourning.

An example would be, mourning jewelry, statuary, dia de los muertes items, Japanese coins, sage smudge sticks, hair work, etc. You may use a photograph, but please create something with it for your partner, like a postcard or bookmark, or decorate a journal cover with it.

Take you time with this one, do some research and create something for your partner that is beautiful and educational. Give them details on the object and why it is important to the act of mourning for whomever you choose to describe.
