My Favorite Author

This swap is all about sharing with a fellow reader your love of your favorite author.

I know it'll be difficult, but narrow it to one writer. You don't need to wait for partners to be assigned to start putting your package together.

What you'll prepare and send:

1) a letter explaining why the writer is your favorite and how you were introduced to his/her work.

2) a biography of the author

You may have to do a bit of research here. The bio can include, but isn't limited to: news clips, interviews, Web sites about, biographies written about the author, etc. The idea here is to tell your partner a little about the writer's life. (No need to write a dissertation, a page or so will do, unless you're inspired to do more.)

3) A list of all of the writer's publications

4) A copy (new or gently used) of one of the author's books.

For those so inclined, you can include in your swap package anything else that seems appropriate (bookmarks, author-related items, etc.) The minimum to send are the four items listed above.
