Mail Art: Sharpies & Tape

For this swap you will be creating a piece of mail art using. . . SHARPIES + DECO TAPE! I just came home from Staples with a 24-pack of Sharpies called "Glam 80's" and can't wait to uncap them to create some great mail art.

You'll create one piece of mail art for one partner. Here are the requirements:

• envelope must measure at least 4"x5", but can be larger

• envelope must be decorated with Sharpie (or other similar type) markers and some form of decorative tape (deco tape, washi tape, colorful packing tape, etc. Sandylion just released a new brand of deco tape called Tape Works--really cute designs including owls, peace signs, flowers, animal prints, and others.

• you are permitted to use other items to decorate your envie, so long as you use Sharpies and tape for part of the design

• design is sender's choice (please avoid gory or religious designs, since these are the most common "please don't send" on profiles)

• include a small, flat paper surprise (stickers, notes, postcards, faux postage, etc--anything flat to keep down the cost of postage)

The new postal rate for 1 oz international is $1.10, and the new international stamps are SO NEAT! They're round!

Participants must have a cumulative 4.9 rating and be rated for 10 Type 3 swaps.
