Description:

Read something good lately? Share! Don't send the book, just a letter telling what you read, who it was written by, and what it is about. Just don't spoil the ending please!

Haven't had time to read lately but have an all-time favorite book that you feel everyone should read at least once? Write about that one!

(Please, no need to share the highly read and highly publicized serieses that are out right now... You all know the ones I am implying. If nearly everyone and their sister/cousin/aunt/dentist has likely read it, it really defeats the purpose.)

I will sign up for this and will look forward to reading any comments. I am not a romance story lover like my sisters. Whatever works for your relaxation is fine but I am convinced they like the silly stories that seem to be the same story with names and locations changed. I am the kind of person who likes to learn something and make my time reading count. I have begun reading my hubby's books and am happy to have found John Sandford [Prey Series] and Michael Connelly [Lincoln Lawyer]. LL

ha, should have added no harlequin-esque books as well. hopefully they weed themselves out.

Does the letter need to be "written" I tend to think I have the worst handwriting possible.

i have gotten a comment like that on the last few swaps i posted... i would greatly prefer hand-written, but typed with enough aspects that the person can't accuse you of having copied and pasted bits or having printed off a previously written and gently edited letter from a past swap then okay...

I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one that dislikes romance novels. Don't get me wrong like the vampire ones but the bare shoulder, bodice ripping, Herbal Essence Hair-gasm ones make me want to puke...

Dear barterartistmel and other participants: This swap is a great idea and I am looking forward to it. I make greeting cards and in swaps we do the hostess receives all the submissions and can view them and sometimes has an extra made for her to thank her for her time. I was just thinking that in some of these swaps you bring about a lot of pleasure for others but do not know it unless someone thanks you publically or privately. Since there are 11 in the swap so far, I was wondering whether there is a place you could list all the books suggested for your sake and for ours. Don't get me wrong, I would not expect everyone to write to everyone else. Probably wouldn't have joined if that were the criteria but have to admit I would be curious what others are suggesting. Just musing.... Lynn

I LOVE books - they are truly magical! And I'm with the others in that there are so many "tired" themes out there! Great idea for a swap :-)

I'm also looking forward to this swap a lot and I already know at least one book I'll be writing about! @Lynn it's a great idea to share everything! How about everyone who wants to posts the books and authors she/he wrote about in the comment section here with one or two sentences about the book? What do you think?

im game with you all posting and sharing. or create a forum post and list them in it if you like. just, try to hold off until your partner gets your mail.
