Description:

Here is finnaly is a Europe only whimsy jar swap! Also know as a jar of whimsies.

What do you do for this swap you take an empty jar around 16-32 oz glass jar. You decorate the lit and/or the outside. Think ribbons, labels, ..... anything your creativity can come up with. For examples please visit flickr there are a lot of great whimsy jars on there.

After you decorate the jar you will fill it with as you have guessed whimsical things! (tea bags, small figures, ribbon, mini sharpies, lipbalm, badges, buttons, ......) basicly anything you can fit inside the jar.

But for this whimsy jar I will only set one theme and that is one based on your partners profile! So when you're putting together your jar read your partners profile carefully and see what they might like as well. Other then that just fill it with things you would like to receive as well. Since whimsies are always surprises and should also be a surprise.

So just consider some of the things in your partners profile. If they are not into knitting and sowing don't send them a jar FULL of buttons... use your imagination and visit flickr since you will get some great ideas from other swappers.

Rules Europe only ( group swap so no problem) 4.9 rating or higher no recent no sends please fill in your profiles as best as you can!

Now if you don't fit these rules and you would like to join please pm me and I will see what I can do.

Mailing tips!

  • Clean out the jar very well is you're using a used jar!
  • Bubblewrap is your friend I suggest you mail these jars in a firm box filled with bubblewrap or ol d newspapers to secure it so it wont break in the mail.

How much is 16-32 oz in Centimeter/Liter?

Hehe that's great :o) I'm in :o)

hey I used a quick converter and it's AROUND

9,47 dl-4,73 dl so between half a liter and a liter I think most people will go for half a liter though. Most I've seen are around that size. And it seems to be the standard sizing people are using for there swap on swapbot.

Thank you!

So we should use a 0.5liter jar?

isisanyanka 04/12/2008 #

That is the minimum yes. But you know jars can variate in size so it can be bigger but should not be smaller then half a liter jar.
