Description:
Don't judge a book by its cover... judge it by its first page! For this swap, we'll share the first page of four favorite books, fiction or non-fiction (senders choice). These should be the first page that includes full text (prologue or chapter one). No children's picture books. You can photocopy, type, or neatly hand-write these pages for your partner. Include the title and author for each so that your partner can purchase / check-out the book if the first page entices them. 4.97 rating minimum; at least five type 2 or 3 swaps under your belt; no recent 1s or 3s. Enjoy! :D

By "full text", I just mean not the title page. I know sometimes the very first page of a Prologue or Chapter One only uses up 1/2 a page - that's fine!

So does it have to look like a book page, or can I write it nicely on some looseleaf and decorate with little doodles about the book?

SarahCD: As long as all of the words from page 1 of the prologue or chapter one are there, you can present it however you want. Writing with doodles sounds awesome. :)

See and i would rather have the photo copy so I could use it in some art. Not that I would hate sarahs idea either. That sounds great too.

I think this goes without saying, but to clarify / confirm: It's sender's choice with the requirement based solely on the words (not on artistic embellishments).

I will be happy with a photocopy or artistically written text - I'm here for the books! :D

I never have copies of my favorite books because I always give them to people to read, haha! Cool swap idea though!
