So, the success of Sharpies is apparently touch-and-go (my trial mug survived the dishwasher! Hurrah!) as a fail safe there are always ceramic paint pens from Hobbycraft though. (Thanks to Gofeen for the tip)

And thought it would make a wonderful idea for a swap, decorate a mug with sharpie pens and fill it with goodies for your partner. So for this swap you will buy a plain mug (new please not used!), decorate it with permanent markers, bake it in order to seal the paint and fill it with small gifts for your partner. The gifts don’t have to be profile based, but remember to check their dislikes list.
