Description:
This one's kind of like the Flat Stanley project that my nephew did for school not that long ago, except instead of a paper doll, you will be sending a stuffie/doll/dotee doll of some sort made by you. You will create a new little friend who will eventually make its way home to you and send your new friend along with a couple of pictures in a small album. The pictures will be: Where they came from (your craft room, house, whatever) A photo of you and them together and a photo of them (and you if you want) at one of your favorite places near you) This will be an ongoing swap with our newly made friends traveling all over and home eventually (probably say around 6 rounds). The next round will be sending the stuffies etc. with another set of photos to the next partner and so on....... You don't need to be a professional photographer; in fact, if you'd rather have someone else take the photos for you, that is perfectly fine :) Be sure to include your name and address on the photo album so that your friend can find his/her way home :)

Will the dolls we make come back to us, or back to the first person we send them to?

I have it set up right now to send the doll to the first person, but would it be better to have it you make the doll for yourself and send it to your partner to be passed along and eventually home?

That would be nice if they evidentally came home... but unfortunately too many things come up and something happens. I was in a short story journal swap where u wrote a chapter and the next person continued the story. Two hostesses later the swaps stopped.

I like the idea of it coming back to me. I might make a little album to send with it to keep copies of the photos in, so I get to see them all. Would anyone objct to that?

I'm a bit confused. So, I send a doll to someone. They make a fried for it. Then they keep my doll and send on the friend with me getting the last friend? Or do they make a friend for themselves and send on the original doll? Or do they join in, snowballing into a family of dolls? If the first or second way then a photo journal to go with it would be real fun. Either way, I'll jump in. Just let me know what to do.

I edited the swap, but it will be you make a doll for yourself that is sent to your partner to have photos taken and sent to the next person and so on until it's time for them to come home.

Ok. So I make a friend and send it with a little photo book. Then I get a friend in the mail. I take it out for a night on the town and add photos from our visit to the book and send it off to another friend. Yes?
