I was thinking about school yard fads today, and i remembered how much fun it was making fortune tellers. If you're not sure what i mean, click here. In my school, they would start out deadly serious - "you will marry keanu reeves" and as the fad progressed would quickly descend into just plain insulting fortunes "you smell like farts!" So lets make each other fortune tellers! Here is a pattern. Your fortunes can be anything, but try to be creative (maybe avoid being outright offensive - unless you think your partner will find it hilarious). Feel free to be as childish or sweet as you want to be. This is a silly swap! And hey, why not pimp your origami.. lets have interesting paper, embellishments, anything to make folded paper a bit more fun. This is about reminiscing, breakin' out the crayons and stickers, and getting back to the time when marrying keanu reeves seemed possible (or desirable!) rule 1: do not talk about the fortune swap rule 2: do not talk about the fortune swap. seriously, aren't i hilarious? rule 3: this is international!! because it will fold flat, it can be posted as a letter.. cheap cheap! rule 4: newbies welcome rule 5: i can angel this if need be, but seriously - how much time will it take to make a little fortune teller and add some pizzazz? there is no excuse for flaking on this one! And if there are any flakers, may all your fortunes be BAD! rule 6: have fun.. and good fortune :)

Donny Osmond on the other hand... maybe its just that he seems to be on EVERY TV show at the moment.

You can make one, two, fifty... as many as you like. but lets aim for quality over quantity.

this is just a silly little fun swap, lets not take it too serious.. i like to think this swap is more about the giving part, than recieving.

so when rating, you should be giving hearts for things like: - the fortunes were well thought out/funny - its evident that it took more than 2 mins to create - you're smiling!

so everyone should get hearts, cos i now you're all awesome and clever. feel the love, people. feel it!
