Birthday Prayers for My Mother

The 1st swap I ever hosted was Birthday Prayers for Christmas, so that my parents would get Cards with Prayers and Bible Verses inside to encourage them. Well my Mother's Birthday is coming up and she gets all bummed out every year.

When I did Prayers For Christmas, I didnt explain much about their situation because I wrote: God Knows. But I want to explain why my mother could use some encouragement. My dad (really my Step Dad, but I call him Dad) has had Leukemia. Well the chemo killed his kidneys, so he has been on Dialysis since about 2005. If you have ever had someone on Dialysis or you have been, you do understand, that it does extend your life, but it is hard on your heart, and veins, and the time involved. They also have a home Health nurse who comes to give my Dad IGG Treatments. Most of their life is spent on DR visits and the like.

My Parents can not attend Church for health reasons, but they do get to watch Christian TV, and have fellowship with others who come to visit.

Every year my mother gets really blue, and feels worthless. No matter what I send her for her birthday. She loved the Prayers for Christmas cards so much, that I know she will be encouraged by the Birthday Prayers.

So for this swap, you will send on Birthday card that is either Religious or Funny or has animals, plus inside you will write a Bible verse and/or a Prayer. You will send one card to my mother and one card to your partner.

The card to your partner, can be an UNbirthday card or even just a note card, but the bible verse or prayer must be included.

For your partner you can add an extra if you want, but that wont be necessary for my mother, since she doesnt do papercrafts. She quilts, knits, crochets and reads Christian fiction mainly.
