Description:

This is an oldie but goodie (OBG) swap. We did it in August/September 2010 and had a lot of fun. So let's do it again!

Can you write your way out of a paper bag? Let's find out!

This is a writing inspiration swap. Grab a paper bag (a lunch-size sack is the ideal size) and put five items in it. Then send the bag off to your partner.

The five items can be found treasures, quotes, random bits of whatnot, photos, etc. The idea is to use the five items to inspire an article, story, scene, poem, essay or any other creative work.

Rate your partner on receiving the paper bag with five items. When you get your bag, post below the items and how you plan to turn them into a creative piece.

I've marked this as a Type 3 swap, but it can be flat mail -- the items you send don't have to be bulky or expensive. Sender's choice though.

Snail mail. Group membership. International.

This was mailed out Thursday.

I received an eclectic mix of toys and items. What intrigues me the most is a postcard of windmills in California. I've seen them before while on the road and have always wondered about how I could use them in a story.

Received an interesting bag of items. Most challenging was the mouse trap. My partner assured me it wasn't used. :)
