Reading about ancestors country and send letter

Don't know much about the country your ancestors are from or never read the classics from that country? Read either a history book or classic author based from the country of your ancestors. The book can be historical fiction, memoir, autobiography, classic author etc. Choose only ONE book to read. Once you have read the book send a letter to TWO partners telling them what you learned about the country, classic author, interesting facts, did you like the book, etc. Have fun learning more about the history or classic authors, and learning about other countries as well from our partners letters. You will have several months until the middle of November to send out the letters, so no pressure in reading the book right away.

A Few Things:

I realize not everyone knows the country their ancestors are originally from, so instead you can pick the country you were born in. If you choose a history book to read make sure the period you read about is one that you do not know that much about or if you have chosen a classic author to read it must be a new author to you.

If you have multiple countries to pick from your ancestry; Please don't pick from the country you were born in or have already read the classics or know a lot of the history about. For example then I won't be picking England as I have read several classics and know a lot of the history of that country. However, I can pick Sweden, France, Cherokee Nation, Switzerland, Ireland, etc instead.
