Description:

My daughter is learning english as a second language in school, so today she asked me: "Wouldn´t it be nice if in my class we could have penpals? That way, we could practice writing and get to know new people!" So this swap is not for you, but for your daughter or son, niece, granddaughter, grandson, etc. If you happen to have a little writer in the house, who is also, like mine, always intrigued by what you´re doing sending all that stuff to people you don´t really know, this is for you both.

You will help your kid write or type a minimum 1 page letter to 1 partner. and I say help, because this is an international swap, and I hope to get people from around the world. So maybe your kid is just learning english, like mine, and needs your help. We are from Rio, Brazil.

Simple enough, right? In order to join, please have a full profile. And write in the comment section - right here - the name and age of the kid that is participating, and if you´d like, some of his or hers likes and dislikes.

If you do type the letter, try to make it interesting using pretty stationary, or different (yet readable) fonts, pictures, anything to make a good first letter to someone else.

If the kid wants, help him or her select some extras to send. A good example would be stickers or pretty papers. Please no candy - it could melt and destroy the letter.

This is a physically mailed swap. NO emails or sending this electronically. Written or typed and in an envelope with proper postage.

NEWBIES with well filled profiles will be welcome. I will angel if needed. Or Maria, 9 years old, will. :)

Yay for young penpals! I have some in my house too. :) A 4.5 rating requirement is super-low though.

I'm entering my daughter...I will contact my sender partner with age, name, and likes as soon as partners are posted;) She will be so happy when I tell her tomorrow, thanks for hosting!!

My daughter is 10 and in the 5th grade. She loves this swap. She doesn't care if it a boy or girl just someone to write to.

Thanks ! I can raise the rating, if you think it´s low...

My daughter is 9 and would like to join :)

There is probably no way to enter twice, right? My other daughter is very interested as well.

ChrisX 09/25/2013 #

Shlamoof , maybe you could create a temporary profile for her, or contact one of the other swappers for a private swap. maybe my own daughter would be interested...

My son's name is Jordan and he is 11 years old. He loves meeting new people and would really enjoy a penpal

ChrisX, I wish I had seen your reply before now because I would have done that. If your daughter is interested, my daughter Porsche was asking just last night for another pen pal. She is 7.

ChrisX 10/ 7/2013 #

Shlamoof, we can write to her too, if you don´t mind. Send me your address in private.

ChrisX 10/ 7/2013 #

Shlamoof, nevermind. I got you. We´ll write you 2 letters.

Shlamoof 10/ 7/2013 #

ChrisX, thank you! She will be so thrilled :)
