Greetings Swappers!!!! This swap is one that will help us all dig a little deeper into ourselves and maybe learn a thing or two. For this swap you will purchase (or create) a journal for your partner. You can buy a journal (please no smaller than 5 1/2 X 8 1/4) that you think your partner would love, create one or get a composition book and decorate it. Or, if you you find a pretty comp book, just use it. It does not necessarily have to be decorated. I know that Five Below and the dollar stores usually have nice ones. Nothing mini. Fill it will questions.....really deep thought provoking questions. Leave space for your partner to journal their own answers. Maybe a question on every other page. Example: if you had to spend a full year inside a small, fully provisioned cave with only one other person, who would it be? And why? (No cheating and using this question!!) You would leave blank space for your partner to answer. Skip a page and add another question. Make them tough. Make them questions you may have never pondered before. You will receive a journal from someone else with their questions. Maybe we can all learn something about ourselves!!!! Only WELL established swappers will be allowed. (At least 20 type 2/type 3 swaps completed) NO recent ones or threes. Only very well filled out profiles. I will be checking profiles. I promise to be fair, but ANY suspicious swappers will be banned. I cannot angel this one so please don't flake. For right now, USA and Canada only, if I get enough interest, may open to international. Leave me a personal message or a comment below.

Hi Cubsfanjennie, Would you be so kind as to give an idea of how many questions should be in the journals? Also, is it acceptable to put prompts on extra pages? This swap IS a creative one-thanks so much!

@dreamweaver I'm thinking about 30? That way someone can answer a question a day for a month. I did this beacuse I want to journal and be a regular journaler, but I can't come up with something to write about every day. :} I got the idea from reading The Book of Questions by Gregory Stock. I hope you LOVE it!!!

Do they all have to be questions or can some be a kind of challenge? Like draw something for example.

Hmmmm, @seekingjoytoday Yea! I think that would be be fine. I, personally, have embraced the fact that the good Lord never meant for me to be an artist, but, I think drawing something could bring up some interesting thoughts. I think if the challenge was paired with the instruction to write something about it...how you felt, what happened during the process...etc....I think that could totally work. Thanks for the question!!!! I hope you join!!!

Do YOU answer the questions too and then leave a space for your partner to answer?

@basykes no, you write the questions and then send it to your partner for them to answer. You will get a journal from your partner with their questions for you to ponder and answer.

Was just sent a question and I thought I'd comment on it here too. Once you receive your question filled journal, it is yours to KEEP. You answer the questions for YOU. I think if we think we have to send it to someone else, we would guard or shield our answers. This way, we can be completely honest in our answers, knowing it is only going to be seen by ourselves. I really hope that we all dig deep for really super thought provoking questions. No topics are taboo. Please don't censor yourselves. And...if there are questions that you don't like, please don't rate low for that. Rate on the quality of the questions.
