EFUTO: e = picture, futo = envelope Take a look at the following page with some examples:

http://www.foiltokyo.com/english/book/art/efutoeg.html

For this swap we will decorate an envelope (can be selfmade, can be store bought), on which the stamp-s- for shipping play an important rule. You may draw, paint, paste, washi tape, images, ephemera, use a single sticker (if it is functional in the image). The envelope you are going to send to your partner is an image and the stamp is a part of that image. So before you start the stamp-s- is/are already past. You can use one stamp, you can use more stamps, your choice, must be enough for shipping of course. You can choose the size of the envelope, but do not go smaller than normal postcard sizes. You have to reinforce the envelope with a profile based postcard (that is no extra, that's a part of the swap). When your envie is ready protect it well before shipping to prevent it arrives damaged. Rating requirements only 5. I will be checking profiles. If you have any questions, please ask them below and I will answer as quick as possible.

Do not forget to read your partners profile for dislikes (and likes!).

So let me see if i have it....decorate an envie with an image/picture. Then use postagestamp/stamps as part if the picture. i.e. like they are small presents under a tree, or building blocks, etc?

Way cool!

Yes whytewillow, the stamp-s- are a part of the picture/image, yes can be small presents under.... a tree, but: stamps mostly are not under but at the right side upstairs. The stamps are shipping costs too. Did you see the examples? Other examples: the stamp you need for shipping you have chosen is a butterfly: the envie can be decorated with trees and flowers with lots of butterflies, the stamp is one of them. Or: on the stamp we see a building, on the envie is painted a street or village with lots of buildings, the building on the stamp is one of them. I hope it is clear now, otherwise let me know, I'll try again to explain. If you do not want to discuss your design here in public, you can send me a message in private mail.

Well now, this is something totally new for me and so very interesting and challenging too :)! Great idea for a swap, will have to watch for now and see if I´ll get any ideas for my efuto!

I get the efuto part (really way cool!). But give me an example of "reinforce the envelope with a profile based postcard" and "protect it well before shipping." I'm guessing we are just putting a postcard in the envelope when we mail it? But protecting it - would that be something like wrapping it in packing tape? I'm concerned that the post office will want the stamp to be exposed for cancellation. Thanks!

Hello BluGinhm, If you make a nice envelope and you do not put anything in, it arrives wrinkled and that's the reason I ask you to put a postcard (profile based) in the envie. Protecting: if you make an adventure of your envie with a sticker, and/or other things you have to protect it, yes by wrapping. If there is no danger than it is not necessary to wrap. I hope you understand now. Good question, thank you for helping me making things clear.

Hello Pikkis, if you decided what stamp-s- you will use, you can take some magazines for inspiration, or go on internet with similar words. Sorry for all of you.........not always easy to explain when English is not your native language.
