S: Texture ATC - Gesso

This is a continuing series of texture-based ATC swaps. The theme for these swaps will be sender's choice. You may embellish as you see fit and add other textures if you wish. But please make the main texture of the ATC be the chosen texture.

For this ATC we will be exploring the textural aspects of using gesso. (You can pick up white gesso at Michael's, JoAnns, Hobby Lobby etc. with a coupon. You might find black gesso at a fine art supply store or at Archivers)

Smear some gesso on a sturdy ATC backing. Then play with creating textures. Use your fingers, a paint brush, a tooth brush, a hair comb, a palette knife. Whatever gives you some good textures. (If you have ANY need for inspiration Google "gesso texture" then look at the images).

Once dry you can paint your background, or collage it, or stamp on areas of it, etc. Embellishment can be minimal and is Sender's Choice.

Please add a small note with your ATC and explain to your partner the techniques you used on your ATC. I hope these swaps will be a good way for us to share creative ideas with each other.
