Just a helpful hint--if you must label your pics, don't write with ink on the backs, over time the ink can bleed through and ruin the pic. Use a pencil very lightly and write along one edge so it could be cut off if necessary later. OR use a small post-it note paper that can be easily removed.

Whoo hoo! we're off and running. Just wanted to say that someone (can't remember who) suggested making this a semi-regular thing, but with the topics pre-chosen so that we are all doing our own interpretation of the same things. I think this would be a great idea, especially if the topics were somewhat loose (eg something round, etc). It would be very interesting to see different people's interpretations. Just my 2 cents' worth. Now I'm off to start looking at life through a viewfinder.

Chance are that with 112 people in this swap -- You will not recv. from the same person you are sending to. I, for example am sending to someone in Germany -- but recving from someone in Michigan (USA) -- I live in Florida.

If your not patient (like me!), I as coordinator of this swap have access to see who you are both sending to and recving from. If you contact me, I will let you in on WHERE your photos are coming from but not WHO they are coming from.

Also keep in mind -- these arent DUE TO BE SENT for over a month -- so please try to just wait out receiving them and in the meantime have fun taking the shots for your partner! Some people may need more time to "find the perfect shot"... or have more difficulty w/ the list they were given.

My photos got sent out a teensy bit late---I mailed them Sunday night from the grocery store so they would have gone out on Monday (February 19th). I emailed the recipient the day they were due to say they would be late but I didn't hear back..I hope she got them. The photos can be seen here . I actually made them into a book but I didn't take photos. I wish I had now.

Jack's Mom, I haven't recieved my pictures yet either. I'm hoping it's just slow mail. I've been in about 6 swaps, which I put a lot into, and been stiffed on 3 already, it's maddening. One of them the person had 18 no sends, how does someone like that even be allowed to swap anymore?

I see my swap partner is still marked "Not sent". :( I'm hoping it's just that she forgot to come back and mark sent. I think the least the "No-senders" can do is send the package they receive on to the person they were supposed to send to.

I sent my photos from the US to New Zealand and haven't been rated yet, but I haven't sent to New Zealand before, so I have no idea how long it will take. I'm assuming they're not there yet.

I;ve just counted 27 no sends, which means nearly 1/4 of us are unlikely to receive anything - altho some may have sent but not pushed the "sent" button. This seems like a very high proportion of bad swappers.

I thought this was a really good idea for a swap, and there were so many great ideas for photographs in the lists. Like many others, I was looking forward to receiving some interesting photos. Ah well, at least mine have arrived safely, and a little bit of downunder is now adjusting to cooler weather in Canada!

I still haven't recieved anything either, what a huge bummer.

Paperholic, my pics made it to Australia also, they have a lot of adjusting to cooler weather to do, I sent them some Pennsylvania snowstorm!

I've still never received my photo's from this swap and it's been well over two months since it did assign partners..1/12..and over a month since it was due. Of course this person did post in her profile that she was running late but give me a brake? A email would of been in order if you were running late so I'll rate her a one and leave it at that.

On a brighter note I did receive my photo's from the second swap!
