Description:

Hello Lovely WIYM Groupies!! :)

  1. Pick 5 different samples of Washi Tape from your collection. Wrap at least 12" neatly around a non-stick surface. (The best way I've found is to put packing tape around a scrap of cardboard. Washi does not stick to itself terribly so you can wrap it around just like it is on the roll.)

  2. Go to your partners profile and study it!! Pick something flat from their like/love/wish list and tuck it in the envelope with the Washi Samples. Please pay attention to dislikes/allergy lists, don't send your partner something that makes them sad or sick! :(

  3. Pop it all in the mail and make your partner smile!! :)

This one is international because it should not cost too much for a flat envelope. Just sent one like this the other day to Finland and it was only a little over 3 bucks! :)

The Washi samples are senders choice so if they make you go bleh! rate your partner a 5 anyway as long as the flat surprise matches something on your like list!

This is a group swap so by definition it should be safe but I will look over profiles before assigning partners just to make sure there is no funkiness.

Have Fun!

when I send a flat envelope internationally, it's normally $1.10, is that ok?

ShannonArtsyFartsy 11/22/2013 #

Yes! As long as you send five different 12" (30.48 cm) samples of washi tape and a profile surprise! :)

Okay, thanks! And I do have plenty of INT stamps in case I go over one one oz. I was thinking about this swap last night..Should our item be sent in a package/bubble mailer or a flat envelope? It's a type 3 but also states that "it should not cost too much for a flat envelope." Just wanted to clarify, thank you!

Thank you for the clarifying questions. :) I left it at a type three in case folks end up making ATCs or "packaging" other items for their partner in addition to putting together the washi samples. I will leave it open as to what it's mailed in. I guess my thought was to make it reasonable enough to do internationally but leave it open enough for people to go wild if so inspired! This may be an inherent personality flaw of mine...I always want it both ways! ;)
