All you knitters out there know that your knitting bag is as treasured as your purse and has some very key items there in. This swap will click up the fun by adding some basic, unusual, and can't-live-without stuff from a pal - anywhere in the world. Some examples might be: stitch markers (can't have too many, right?), row counters, notepads and pens, lip balm, hand lotion, a crochet hook to catch lost stitches, and well, of course chocolate! AT LEAST 6 ITEMS PLEASE. Use items from your own inventory, creative hand made stuff especially, and try not to support mass produced, plastic, tacky junk that will just get thrown in the land fill. DO get to know your assigned partner and shell out a little cash - around, $5 (not counting the gas to get you to the store!!!) but whatever you can afford. Make up for it in creativity and personality! No bad swappers please. If you have a bad rating I will have to drop you unless you mail me with a really really sad story, but if you don't send your swap I will call the authorities and they will have to remove all your knitting stash AND knitting bag PRONTO. We mean business here. No newbies this time around. 4.75 rating or higher with at least 3 swaps under your belt and one heart! This one's just for fun, so please have a long and detailed profile at the ready for your partner to really dig in - to that knitting bag that is. I can't wait for this one! I only have been knitting now for 18 months, but am TOTALLY addicted! I can't wait to get started on this swap! Thanks for the great idea!

Hello kidsceo! Sorry to hear about your knitting addiction - trust me, it's not pretty! Especially when you have to choose between a gorgeous skein of wool in your favorite color, and food. It's not a cheap addiction. Once your friends and family get a sampling of your talent, they'll be hanging out on your doorstep like concert go-ers until you promise them your next pair of handmade socks. You'l be famous in no time! ;o Glad to have you aboard and have fun with the swap.

Hey gang: FYI, this is an International swap, so keep that in mind with the size and weight of your items. Most knitting bag "toys" are small and light, so I figured the postage wouldn't be too hard of a hit.

Wow, we're up to 22 in this swap with just one week to go. Hope you're all dreaming up some fun ideas. I was at a knitting group yesterday and everyone was oohing and aahing over each other's "toys" - especially stitch markers and things tha were stylish as well as functional. I had ice cream cones on my stitch markers which were just so fun for a hot summer afternoon.

I would also be interested in participating in a similar swap sometime in the future. I would have loved to swap in this one, but I've got a lot on my plate right now. Please do another swap like this some time! :-)
