Description:

Let's swap items that will help our partner make their outgoing mail more fun! Below is a list of items you can choose from to send to your partner. Pick 3! Clean and unused items only please. New in package where applicable.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PICK 3:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  • 2 decorative stationery sets (2 sheets of paper/1 envelope per set. Both sets can be same image/design/color or different.)

  • 1 nice writing pen. (What do I mean by "nice"? What is YOUR favorite pen to write with? The pen that makes your heart sing to use is what you should send to your partner, but a new pen. Do NOT send the Bic or comparable cheap pen which skips or leaves blobs of ink on paper. You know what I'm talking about. Let your partner know what pen makes your mail worth writing.)

  • 1 roll of washi or deco tape (one (1) new roll, not a sample)

  • 1 roll of fabric ribbon

  • 1 package of sticker sheet(s)

  • 2 notecards w/envelopes (notecards can be different or both the same)

  • 3 store-bought postcards

  • 3 handmade envelopes (use sturdy material)

  • 3 hand decorated envelopes (zentangled, doodled, drawn, painted, etc.)

  • 1 pad of writing paper (5x7 or larger and at least 20 sheets)

  • 1 package of jewels or embellishments

  • 1 package of unique paperclips

  • 1 new rubber stamp

  • 1 new ink pad or marker for rubber stamp

  • At least two (2) unused commemorative 1st Class postage stamps (Pick this ONLY if your partner lives in the same country as yourself and can use the postage in their outgoing mail. Also, 1st Class means the current 1st Class rate of $.49 or a "Forever" stamp. You can send older 1st Class commemorative stamps but their total value must equal two $.49 stamps of today.)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope this list gives you a good selection of items you can choose from to send to your partner to help them make their mail more fun. Pick at least 3 items from the above choices, but of course you're welcome to pick more or include your own ideas of items to make mail more fun (after you pick 3 from the above choices).
Please remember, where applicable, to leave the new items in their package (pen, sticker sheets, embellishments, etc.) This doesn't apply to items you're taking from packages (notecards/envies, etc.) or items that don't come in packaging (postcards, etc.)
Now let's give our partners some items they can use to make their outgoing mail fun!
May I ask why you request items be kept in packages? I normally remove all excess packaging from my items as it can save a lot of money on postage. Thank you Pat
I agree. Mrs Grossmans has a sheet of stickers in shrink wrap with cardboard for example. OR strips come in perforated sections & I like to send a variety of sections on a theme ( hearts/flowers/spring) in and enclosure card. I hope my partners does not rate down for this
Regarding the reasoning behind my requirement that where applicable, please leave items in their packaging, the answer is simply that we would all like to receive our items in new and neat condition. I am mostly thinking of pens when I say this as I don't want anyone to receive a used pen...they write with it for 10 minutes and it's suddenly out of ink. So pens should remain in their original package IF you choose to pick this item to send to your partner. If you don't pick this item, then it's not an issue.
Some sticker brands may have cardboard backing in their plastic sleeve, and while I don't see this as being a real weight issue if you remove it or leave it, I'll leave it up to you. However, if you choose to pick stickers to send to your partner, leave stickers in their plastic sleeve. You can remove cardboard if it's important to you. Embellishments also should have no real "extra" packaging to speak of, though I guess it can depend on the embellishment you choose to send.
The bottom line is, Pens should be sent in their original packaging. Stickers and embellishments should be in their protective sleeves. Most of the other items in the list will have no extra packaging. Feel free to PM me if you do face a weight/postage dilema and want to run something by me. I provided what I hope is a good variety of items from which to pick 3. Two or three choices might be "weighty", but the majority are lightweight items, and you can simply choose to send the lighter choices if postage is a concern for you.
I hope this helps to clear up the "original packaging" intent. :)
