Chocolate Swap for Newbies

I am so glad you posted this swap. I was waiting for a chocolate one that I could do. Looking forward to this one! Thank you!

Hi, so when am I getting my partner?

Oh I want to do this! But living in Southern CA its pretty hot here already and I would be very disappointed to receive melted chocolate. I wonder if its worth the risk. Hmmmm...

Hmmm have to think about hot places, I am able to take fresh frozen fish with me to Egypt so sure I can find something.

I didn't even think that somewhere might be hot, but hopefully everybody gets their chocolates unmelted!

Just a little heads up, checking some of the participants I see some have no likes/dislikes on their profiles regarding swaps like this so when you're assigning partners, I would advice to drop them from this swap or message them before the sign up deadline so they can fill up their profile accordingly. I don't think it's fair for their partner to have to ask after them what they can or can not send you know :)) otherwise I'm happy someone has created a swap like this for those who are new to the site!

Yes I have messaged everyone who hasn't listed their likes/dislikes and unfortunately I have to drop those who don't write that information in their profile:/ but I will wait a few days and hope that everybody writes down the information that is asked.

@murmuli : just some friendly advice as I remember being a newbie and some others helped me then. Your lowest rating requirement of 4.7 is a bit low for a chocolate type swap. You have quite a number of people in this swap already and you want to make sure they don't flake out, it can become too expensive to angel. I usually allow 4.7 when its a simple swap like postcards etc. Up to you! just be sure to check people before swap deadline! :) have fun!

@bebeboo I know the rating seems low but when you are new and only have very few ratings it only takes one swap that has lost on the way or something similar to get that 4.7:/

Sorry, your rating for this swap is too low for me to join. My fear is those with "1's" & "3's" low ratings signing up for this swap.
When some one is new & has only few ratings here on swap - bot its not normal for them to have low ratings. Low ratings means the swapper flaked or sent too late for the swap.
Especially now with International swaps, its too expensive a risk to send out swaps for & with members with low ratings.

I am a newbie and would join this swap but I don't care for chocolate. I live in Switzerland and I surely can send good chocchie but all I want in return is only 3 ATCs cards. Is it possible to arrange this with the partner who's supposed to send me chocolate? Please? In the meantime, I watch this swap. Apologies if my question is inappropriate....

This time I have to say that it is not possible. This swap is for chocolate, but hopefully you find a nice ATC swap:)

@AnnaGG you typically do not send your swap to the person who sent to you. So the type of trade you would like to do (Chocolate-ATCs) is not possible. Try asking on the Main Forums - there is a sticky topic that is specifically for newbie swappers asking for swaps to build up their ratings. You can also join some ATC swaps that allow new swappers, or swappers that are new to ATCs.
