Description:

Fold-a-notes, aerogrammes...you know what I'm talking about: those objects where one side of the paper is for a note, and then you fold it up and secure it with stickers, tape, whatever, so that the other side becomes the envelope.

Your challenge is to make a fold-a-note for one partner. The theme is wide open, but you must at least partially decorate both sides of a piece of paper (something relatively stiff like cardstock works best). Feel free to go wild in whatever media you like—drawing, printing, painting, collage, rubber stamping, etc.—but be sure to leave enough room on the "envelope" side, when folded, for the address and postage. Or you could just slap a mailing label on top of your artwork. Incorporate the sticky things you use to hold it together into your design, or else just use plain transparent tape. You can completely cover the inside with artwork if you like, or you can decorate just part of it and leave room for a note to your partner.

Those of you sending from the U.S., remember that the maximum size for a first-class letter is 6 1/8 inches by 11 1/2 inches. So you can make your artwork quite large if you feel so inclined. Those mailing from other countries will have to look up your own size limitations.

Have a blast! =grin=
