Quotes by Email

I love quotes. I can’t get enough of them. I use them for my own personal inspiration as well as for other purposes, such as writing them on my postcard swaps. For this swap, you will email 25 different quotations to 5 partners. Theoretically, we should all end up with at least 125 new quotations to use!

Here are some ground rules:

1. Everyone will format their quotes the same way, discussed below.

2. Everyone will BCC the email addresses of the partners when they send out their quotes.

3. Quotes must be longer than 4 words and preferably have a source.

4. You must send at least 25 quotes but are welcome to send more! It is always fun to look up new quotes rather than the old tired ones!

5. Everyone will rate according to whether they received their 25 quotes in the right format within the send deadline, not if they liked the quotes or not.

6. Quotes must be in English (unless a complete translation is provided).

7. If you choose to send your quotes in an attached document (Word, PDF, etc), please also paste your quotes into the body of the email just in case someone can’t open your attachment.

In case anyone is going to combine the quotes into one document (such as myself), we will all use the same format: quotation marks at the beginning and end of the quote, a dash before the source, and the source on the same line as the end of the quote. Usual swap rules apply. After partners are assigned, you will have 1 week to send your quote email to your 5 partners. This is a newbie friendly swap! I expect NO FLAKERS to join!!! If necessary, I will angel this swap - notify me as soon as you suspect trouble.
