Description:

Sometimes one gets the prettiest paper bags when out shopping. Some have great colours, some have a striking design, an interesting texture, or maybe what makes it stand out is something as simple as the lettering.

For this swap, you will take one of those pretties you have squirreled away (and I know we all have one or more somewhere, right?) and use it to make an envelope for your partner.

The bag itself is the star of the show, so you are only allowed to add the basics to it: return address, recipient’s address, and postage. (If you are sending overseas you are allowed to add an airmail label.)

Your envelope may be any (mailable) size, and you need to include a note to your partner telling them where you got the bag and what it is that caught your eye. Some chains have great bags too, so don’t fret if the bag you use can be found all over. It’s about what you find pretty/interesting/appealing.

Remember to include both the swap name and your username. Please be courteous and rate promptly upon receiving!

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to post them in the comment section below or drop me a PM.

Sounds fun, but they don't use paper bags that often here in Canada. Here it's all plastic bags (unfortunately) or reusable bags.

Ah... I can think of a few stores that use them but I never save them... Hmmm, reason to go shopping? Watching for now.

Trader Joe's has cool paper bags.
