I'm running this swap in another group and was asked if I would run it here as well, and since they are so much fun to make and receive, I was very happy to do so. :) For each swap in the series you will create a predetermined number of inspiration cards made from a standard deck of playing cards and then by the end of the series we will each have a lovely deck of inspiration cards with some made by each swap participant. Slight variations in cards size is fine, but all must be between 3.25/3.5 " and 2.25/2.5". Paint the playing cards however you desire. You may have to lightly sand the surface if they are slippery to help the paint adhere. The use of Gesso will also help the paint stick. You can add some bits of collage elements keeping in mind that we don't want the cards too bulky. They should be somewhat flat. After you have decked out (pun intended) your set of playing cards, either print out or using found text, add a different inspirational quote or word, or even funny quotes/sayings to each card. You may coat each card with gel medium or similar coating for added protection. For this swap we will paint and decorate 4 playing cards. Since this isn't really profile based, you may make your cards before partners are assigned. Have fun! inspiration decks Please keep all quotes etc non religious in nature.. Or at the very least consult your partners profile! We certainly don't want to offend anyone.. June 30: edited the "send by" date to allow for more time.

Are both sides of the cards to be decked out, or just the side with the inspiration?

Thanks! This sounds like a great swap. Count me in! One more question - do I punch the hole before sending, and if so, in which corner? I may be over thinking this, but I want to do it right!
