Quirky, Idiosyncratic Me: A Fun Postcard Swap!

QUIRKY, IDIOSYNCRATIC ME: A FUN POSTCARD SWAP!

For this Swap, you will send one naked, store-bought postcard to five (5) partners telling them five (5) idiosyncratic, eccentric, or quirky things about yourself. “Naked” means sent through the mail, with a stamp – not enclosed in an envelope.

PLEASE NOTE: This is an international swap, so you must have enough time and money to send a postcard to five partners who may all live outside of your country. If you don’t have these kinds of resources, please skip this swap. This is a flake-free zone.

The postcards are sender’s choice, but it would be nice if they reflect the sender’s personality.

When I say “idiosyncratic, eccentric, or quirky,” I mean unique or unusual. Let’s take a look at what this means:

Not Quirky: My favorite color is purple.
Quirky: I only eat purple foods. Ever.

Not Quirky: I think elevators are a great invention.
Quirky: Every time I get in an elevator, I dance to the music being piped in through the speakers!

Not Quirky: I like to cook.
Quirky: I can make an awesome triple-layer cake with delicate fondant decorations, but I’m awful at making pancakes.

YOU GUYS GET THE IDEA! This should be fun! Don’t hold back on this one. I get the feeling once we’re all done, we’re going to be updating our Swap-Bot Profiles…

Raters, be nice! Quirky comes in all shapes and sizes. “I love lemons but I hate limes” totally counts. If your partner tells you five (5) quirky things about him- or herself, he or she gets a 5. End of story.

So . . . can you send the same five quirky things to each of your five partners? Yes, of course! While I’m sure I could come up with 25 quirky things about myself, that just seems like a bit too much introspection for a fun swap. Am I right, folks?! :)

On a personal note, this is only my second time hosting a swap – so let’s make it great! The minimum rating for this swap is 4.98; no unexplained 1s or 3s. Newbies are welcome with a profile that is filled out well. I will angel if necessary after you rate your partner a 1.
