Description:

For this swap, you will choose one touristy postcard of your choice. You will write a message on the back as if you were surviving a zombie apocalypse. Get creative and write a message from you or a character you choose to create. Do not just write one or two sentences and call it done. Write a short paragraph to your partner about your attempt to survive in a world of zombies. Make this your own little zombie nightmare.

Get creative with this and make your postcard look as if it has traveled through a zombie-ridden land. You could smudge the ink, add "blood", use dirt to give it a more authentic look.

Alter your postcard any way you choose. The only requirement is that you use a touristy postcard. You can add a zombie to a city street, a keep out sign to a famous building... Use your imagination and create your own work of art.

Postcards should be mailed naked and stamped.

I am making this a type 3 swap, because we will be creating something awesome for our partners.

My favorite way to add "blood" to the postcard is red food decorating spray. I discovered this in the first zombie swap I ever participated in. It works great and gives the postcard that splattered blood look. It also looks cool on mashed potatoes and other foods. If you have small children, this will make you the most amazing mommy in the world. If you have teenagers, it will make you the lamest one. Heehee...

I would love to do a series of these postcards if there is any interest. Probably one a month. And maybe do some other altered postcards with a spooky or haunted theme.

Thank you, but I cannot take credit for it. It has been done before although I do not know by who. I really look forward to it. I hope to have lots of fun with it and maybe try some other ideas.
