Description:

I love J-Rock and J-Pop (Japanese Rock and Pop, respectively) and was thinking it might be fun to make a swap of artists and songs that we really like so fellow Japanese music lovers will find some new bands to find!

Try to stick to Japanese music only, even though a lot of J-Pop/J-Rock listeners also like Korean music. However, if your partner likes K-Pop/Rock as well, then you can add a few songs.

This is pretty open ended. You can make a spotify playlist if you can find the songs, or a playlist on youtube, or just email the songs. Links to listen to the songs would be awesome, but aren't necessary.

Bottom Line: Make a list of a minimum of 10 songs/artists in the J-Pop/J-Rock genre and send it to 3 partners. Open to newbies. Please no flakers, this is a really easy swap.

10 different artists or 10 different songs but some can be from the same artist?

sal410cat 02/24/2015 #

@liveve308 Either - but some variety would be nice in artist.

Okay, thanks :D

I'm not sure if this is a silly question or not, but I like genres like J-metal, J-punk, J-ska, and J-triphop. Would any of those count for this swap? Also, would indie bands count, or is this for mainstream bands?

sal410cat 02/27/2015 #

@Calochortus All of the above are fine with me - basically just Japanese bands. Indie or mainstream - doesn't matter!

Sounds good, thank you!

I extended the date to send out so everyone has more time to put together a nice playlist.

Thanks for extending the sending deadline!

I sent my recommendations via e-mail~ I know a lot of people are sending it via Swap-bot's mail system, but the links aren't clickable so it was easier for me to do it via e-mail =)

No problem @KuriPie
