Description:

March 20 is National Story Telling Day. Have you ever listened to The Moth on NPR? People tell their own stories. I belong to a group that does a similar story telling once a month. That is aloud. WE can't do aloud on Swap-bot but we can tell stories.

Does your family have a story that Grandpa always tells, or someone else in the family? Has something happened that you know you'll be telling children and grandchildren? Maybe a love story, maybe an adventure, an accident, winning a prize. Maybe you already tell it when you get a chance, maybe this will be the first time.

Tell you two partners the story you know you will always remember about your family or yourself. It should be at least a page long, it can be as much longer as you like. If you can, print it from your computer, if not do it in handwriting. Start thinking about it now and start writing whenever you have a moment. The signup date will be March 20th. Then you'll have two weeks to get it in the mail.

If you like to put things on your watch list remember, I have a personal rule to cancel swaps that have 3 or fewer signed up two days before the deadline.

Are we sending two different stories or the same to both or our choice?

I adore the idea, especially because it will get us thinking about our own life. But could we maybe get three weeks to send our stories? May be it´s just me, but I´ll need to make some time in my all day life to muse about it for a while before writing it down.

Bombardiette -- you can send the same story to both partners but it really don't matter if you feel like writing two that's fine.

Atropos -- I always start thinking about what I'll write when I sign up or this kind of swap. I've had a lot of practice so I probably writer faster than many, but it doesn't have to be a long story, 500 words can be written in half an hour. Of course it can be much longer and that will take longer. (500 words is usually more than one page)
