Description:

this is an international swap*

this valentine season really share the love...

for this swap you will come up with a donation idea, carry it thru and write to your swap partner all about the experience.

it could be big or small, as time allows you...... you decide how this will go.

some examples are...clean out your closets, alone or with some frineds, pack those things and drive them downtown to a local shelter or if you are like me pass them out yourself in poor neighborhoods. i have worked with groups voluntering in a soup kitchen cooking-serving for a day, you can organize a toy collection and drop them off to a childrens ward in a hospital, get your knitting circle together and make blankets for a local womens shelter.

everything helps! nothing is too small for people in need. you can go it alone or involve the entire family....most of all have fun, share the love to people less fortunate and make a difference:)

after your experience simply write to your partner telling them what you did, how it was recieved, who was involved and how you felt during and after the experience:)

in case you are wondering where to find these places, look in your phone book under community pages.

I would love to do this but i gave at Christmas and Thanksgiving and then 20 blankets, mittens and hats for the cold season. If you could do this again in say May i will join.I donate about 20 fans to the elderly at that time.Another great idea would be to do this again next year and ask people to donate or make blankets.

funkychicken, i you still want to join and write about your most recent experience thats most welcome:)

this is SUCH a fabulous idea - I already know what I'll do, and have been doing it every month for almost 2 years now. I'm so happy about this, and being able to "spread the good word" is a great idea! Thanks so much for hosting this swap. Mary

I am looking forward to this one. I am scheming a "random acts of kindness" swap as soon as my ratings start pouring in...I'd be curious to hear what everyone does in this one.

Hi Csilla, You are just the sweetest lady and mother. Your kids are so Blessed to have you as a mother. The card and picture you sent are wonderful. I would like to write you back if thats ok. Your family has over come something that has made life so precious to you all. I'm so glad that Little Zachary is doing well. It was a great thing you did to get all the donation for the NICU. I'm sure that all the outfits went to good use. Take care and give the kids a hug from there new friend. Cathy

I received my letter today from Joy...and on such a beautiful card, too! Joy, I think it's fantastic that you make these hats for cancer patients. You've made quite a committment in numbers and I know how much it will be appreciated. Teaching the girl scout troop to make the hats as well is FABULOUS!! It really encompases a lot of the pay-it-forward and community feel when we can teach others to do good things, too. Wonderful job, very wonderful letter. Thank you so much!

Csilla,

Thank you so much for your kind words. I apologize for the delay in responding. Since I wrote to you, I've cleaned out my kitchen cabinets and have donated dishes and glasses to my daughter's boyfriend's apartment and to Goodwill.
