Description:

This swap-idea was given by TerryF and Kasha22.

For this swap you make 1 card for 1 partner. This card should be 4"X 6" (10x15 cm), and you can use all shades of green. Any technique is allowed. It's sender's choice.

Send your card written and stamped, no envelope please, so make sure everything is stuck well.

This swap will be in series. Next colours will be: red, yellow, orange, purple, pink, brown, grey, black & white, and if there is enough interest we can go on and mix 2 colours.

Already done: blue

Is it correct to assume that a small amount of other colours is allowed as long as the PC is mostly green?

taeniura 06/21/2015 #

Yes, that is allowed :-)

Can it be a folded card- but sent without envelope ? Or should it be "plain" -as in front and back = the same paper (but with decorations or others on front)

kittyhahahotbot 06/26/2015 #

swedishmum;Im guessing postcard not folded in half.

I really would not know how you can send a folded card without an envelope, but if you know, it's fine for me. Make sure it meets the requirements. I hope you will be my swappartner, you made me very curious!

Are you talking about a self-mailer or postalette?

They form their own envelope and look similar to a postcard when closed.

TerryF 06/28/2015 #

Here is a better image of the postalette.

If this is what @SwedishMum refers to, then make sure the postal side is the opposite side of your artwork. When the folded parts are loose ends just to protect your card, the receiver can decide to cut them off and still has left the written and stamped postcard.

I was just thinking of send a folded homemade card... Thought you could put a small tape in one end and send with the address on back... But now I have a new idea instead and it won't be a folded card =)

SwedishMum 06/29/2015 #

@taeniura I can try to send you a folded card without envelope if you want me to try if it is working =)

SwedishMum 06/29/2015 #

Could the card be shaped with the height and length 10*15 cm ? Or does it have to be rectangular?

Lots of questions, but I am new in the group and don't want to make anything wrong

taeniura 06/29/2015 #

If your card fulfills the requirements, there isn't much you can do wrong :-)

I love creativity, and try to encourage it as much as possible. Give freedom to your inspiration.

The reason why it has size restrictions, is because this swap is in series, and some people want to collect the cards next to each other in postcardsleeves. So yes, it can be a shaped card. Remember shaped cards have a higher risk to damage while sending.

I now understand what you mean with folded card. I don't have a problem with it. It will cause you some extra effort, but perhaps that's part of the game :-)

SwedishMum 06/29/2015 #

I will do my best for it not to be damaged.... I love when I can be creative... that's the fun part
