Basics

1) 1 partner, international.

2) Take 1 nine pocket sleeve. Baseball/ pokemon card, trading card sleeves; any of these will do.

3) Senders choice regarding colours, art mediums, etc.

Requirements

  • You'll be creating a "pocket letter" for your partner using a 9 pocket trading card sleeve.

  • Each pocket in the sleeve will be filled with paper ephemera, stickers, stationery, art or something of the kind for your partner.

  • This swap the theme is decorated and stuffed This means that:

  • Your pocket letter must be stuffed FULL, e.g, if usually you would put a few stickers in just 1 pocket, this time you will add more or fill the pocket. Really fill your pockets and spoil your partner.

  • Decorate your pocket letter both inside and out. This means for example, on the front of your pockets (on the plastic itself) you could add washi tape/ribbon/deco tape, stickers, you could add decorated paper into the pockets as a background, you could add tags/string/ribbon coming out of the pockets or onto the sides, you could place art into the pockets (ATC's, drawings, collage) to make your pocket letter look decorated and pretty. You do not have to do this for both front and back of the pocket letter. Your pocket letter should look nice and be in a project for you, and something you are happy with when you have finished it, rather than just shoving a few things in each pocket and sending it to your partner.

But I don't understand, what do I PUT in each pocket?!?!

~ You could do art work; an ATC, a drawing on a piece of paper or card, a gelli plate print, a tag... Something edible; a tea bag, a mini snack. Mixed media; buttons, ribbons. Washi tape samples, stickers, sticky notes, ATC samples/decorated papers and die cuts, magazine clippings/cut outs (nice ones), tags and mini bookmarks... You could put craft supplies in your pockets, for example ephemera/swap supplies. Small pieces of attractive papers, collage pieces, stickers/embellishments, nice quotes. The ideas are endless!

~ This pocket letter requires a handwritten letter in one pocket. Please don't send just a note (like what you would usually send with your username and swap name) this should be a penpal letter. Write about yourself, what you are upto this summer, where you live, what you are having for dinner, what you like about your hometown, or what your pets are called. Anything goes.

~ Your pocket sleeve can be folded and fit into a business envelope to keep postage down.

~ Please include a little note for your partner with your swap username & the swap name so you can be rated easily. :)

Enjoy & happy swapping. The swap picture is just an example of a random pocket letter found on Google and is not what is required for this swap

just a note: edibles cannot be sent to many countries so check with your partner if they are in a different country. I had one destroyed and the recipient charged for the special handling.
